Please let me correct you. As for now, almost all the religions were grown and/or influenced from Judaism. I guess you are a Christian, so just for reminding - Jesus was a Jew, grew in a Jewish house and never convert his religion. Also, you can call Arabs by 'pagans' (Muhammad grew in a pagan tribe) but not jews - sons of the first Monotheist religion in the world that has developed in about 6000 or 4000 BC.

That's not exact. According to the Bible, God wanted to examine Abraham's obligation to God so he gave Abraham an exaggerated order to behead his son. Abraham accepted, just because he believed in God wholeheartedly. They say he thought that his son will be a wrongdoer in the future and that's the reason for this order. At last, God stopped him from doing it and Abraham passed the examination successfully.
