RAF AFGHAN DIARIES: SPECIAL FEATURE: PATROL
Uploaded by: royalairforce
Video Description:
SPECIAL FEATURE: Last week a 48-hour patrol took Paul to villages around the base that had never been visited by the current coalition forces. Long patrols in hostile territory are tough for the flight teams and the troops need to utilise many of the survival skills they've learnt in training.
The RAF has given Paul Goodfellow a handheld video and a small 'lipstick' camera to create his films; he has no previous experience as a cameraman. His videos are checked in Kandahar to ensure they don't include any sensitive data, then sent to London and posted online.

No, I'm not a student, or a tree hugger or on the dole. From your grasp of the situation, and your spelling and grammar, though, I'd guess you might be infantry. Goodfellow seems happy to be there, as he's been in schools selling the idea to kids. What is the real mission in Afghanistan? Do you admit it's about the pipeline and nothing else? How many schools have you lot built yet? Do you think you'll do any better in Afghanistan than the British Forces did in Basra?
