A recent discovery order by the Federal Court hearing the case of Viacom v. YouTube has triggered concern about what information will be disclosed by Google and YouTube and how it will be used. Hi. Actually the court decision which I mention and the transcript of which is linked in the Info to the right of the video, shows that Viacom did ask for and was granted access to our viewing habits and access to every removed video. They asked for it and it was granted by the court. After that Viacom agreed with YouTube not to use the ID of individuals, but that decision in early July was horrendous.

well its not like they have the right to do this at all what about the data protection act? i know so many uk citizens and others from around the world that use it to watch things on here no matter whatever it is, just because of the few people that uploaded them we all have to suffer, the only claims they should really have is against the ones that uploaded the said videos

Yes. There have been a lot of videos here promoting the boycotting of Viacom. It has been very quiet since Viacom has stated they will not seek the viewers personal information. The judgement is still there like a hatchet hanging over the doorway. Thanks.
