Modded bolt on Airsoft M1A1 Thompson AEG from Tokyo Marui. Standard bolt when gun is stock is inactive when firing, and is a loose piece of metal that, while nifty, doesn't add too much to the overall appeal of the gun.
This mod enables the bolt (with the addition of a catch on the sheet metal) to be pushed back by the piston inside, where both the Gearbox and the Pistol are heavily modified. Bolt is then pulled back forward via the standard stock spring attached inside. Gun still fired like a dream, and the action of the bolt adds a whole new dimension to this gun.
I highly recommend trying it out for yourself if you are aware of the risks to your gun.
Also, due to the gearbox modification as well as the added motion, the gun is about twice as loud as stock.

really i dont trust pyramid. i ordered a we dragon pistol from them and the shiped it to me loose in a box. cause of that it got broke. sent it back refund. went to shorty, got it in one piece, and within a week with just ups ground.

its interesting, but realistically doesn't that put way to much force on the piston, and gear assembly. I mean, your chances for a gear jam just shot way up.
All thou the coolness of it may just be worth the risk.

Lifehost, I am just wondering how you did the reinforced bolt plate on your thompson. I saw that you, in one of your pictures, had put a thin metal plate on the back of the bolt. I have the CYMA thompson and my bolt broke so I did the same thing. But the thing is, I can't move the bolt plate anymore, because it gets stuck due to the gearbox. How did you managed to do this? As I can see in the video, you CAN move the bolt

I had to use the thinnest piece of metal that I could, a piece of tin that I found somewhere. I used the same Bolt screw so it didn't post too big of a problem, but the thin piece of metal was the only thing that didn't jam the Bolt. Use the metal and some lock-tight and it should stay. I advise everyone to do this anyways before the bolt breaks in the first place.
