And maybe Russia and China don't want the US deciding what THEY can do? It is not the vote of the Security Council which makes a specific action like the US invasion of Iraq illegal, it is the UN Charter, which the US signed and ratified, and international law, the principles of which the US itself helped to establish at the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunals and the Tokyo War Crimes Trials after the end of WW2.
The US and UK drafted a second UN Resolution after 1441, to authorize the use of force against Iraq because of Saddam's alleged non-compliance. Why would they have done this, unless they, too, realized 1441 did not support invasion.
The new resolution was not presented when it became clear the Security Council would block it, because having it voted down would undermine the tenuous legal premise that 1441 condoned the use of force. More US hypocrisy.
Just because you remain deplorably and willfully ignorant about actual history and events does not mean your position is tenable. The Reagan Administration's threat to use the US veto in the Security Council to defeat the resolution condemning Iraq's use of chemical weapons is a matter of record, not conjecture.
Your inability to see more than one side of the story warps your entire perception of the historical realities. That is why you cannot see any solution but war and more war.
