At this point, we're going to lose money regardless of what we do to fix this problem. What would cause an immediate fix of this economy is tons of state jobs for all of those who are unemployed using the skills they can provide.
Perhaps government-controlled start-up businesses that hire every one of the unemployed that are then sold to the highest bidder.
This would even help those who have been unable to find jobs before, find jobs as they have something on their resume. Problem stopped.
