Tari Belibis
Uploaded by: elibris
Video Description:
This Balinese dance depicts a group of Belibis (a type of wild duck) enjoying its natural surroundings. The coreography was inspired from the story "Anglingdarma." In this story, the king Anglingdarma was transformed into a Belibis duck by his wife. While transformed, he attempted to group with other birds but eventually failed because he's able to speak like a human. The dance was coreographed in 1984 by Swasthi Widjaya Bandem and the music was written by I Nyoman Windha.
