absolutely! i went in with no prior asthma and had an attack on parris island... discharged 2 days before earning the eagle globe and anchor. if you can control it then youre all set but asthma got me kicked out... ballz

don't remember.. just run as fast as you can. I exited the Corps in 1996 and joined in 1984. Don't remember.

well thats been nearly 25 years ago! but i almost joined the DEP, but wanna see which way i lean in life first, its my senior year this year, but i am leaning on the marines, and an MOS of public affairs, know anything on how thats done? school u go to? any bit would help.

The only thing I can tell you about that is that after BCT you go to SOI because every Marine's a rifleman. Can't tell you about that MOS. Use google, there are a lot of forums about the Marine Corps.
Or like I said go to see your recruiter. And I suggest it's the best thing.

phlaun; you have to be in extremely great physical shape to join Marine Recon or MarSOC. Yes you must be able to run 3 miles in under 18 minutes. A buddy of mine was in MarSOC and he weighs about 225 and ran it in under 15 minutes so it may be difficult but it's not impossible.

its a bit difficult to distinguish enemy combatanst from civilians when enemy combatants arent uniformed. Thus, strict protocals must be maintained, and if a civilian breaks one of those protocals, he gets shot.
Yes civilians die in war. Thats the way its always been, but if you think the US military hunts, shoots, and bombs civilians purposefully, you need a reality check.
Damn hippies dont know the first thing about warfare.
