Boeing 737 07/03/07 (7 March 2007) - First Half : Freelance video cameraman, Wayan Sukardo, who survived the plane crash in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, captures the chaos of the crash scene after he crawled from the burning wreckage. Second Half : taken from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Evening News.

i was there just 30 minutes after the crash... the plane still burst in flame..
about the sound, it's the plane's engine..
the firefighter can't reach the plane, they have to come out the the highway in order to reach the plane... it took 15-20 minutes longer...
it was very fking hot ( i was 5-10 metres away from the plane 2 hours later, inside the perimeter ^_~ )

well, that makes sense, because 737's are the most widely used airplane in the world. so, if there is a lot of them then logic dictates that a lot of 737's will crash. it's relative to the large number of 737's.

I lived in Yogyakarta for 3 yrs, the runway was terrible! unstable & short!..I was always praying when we landed,.I knew that this will happen someday..6 mnths after I leave Yogya, this happened.. :(

i tell you, you go to countries like india and china and you start to notice that all their planes are old american ones. Heck my dad went on one that still had AA symbols on one of the seats and exposed wiring where the dvd monitors have been ripped out. pretty scary. GO NEW PLANES!!!!
