I am very proud to be Canadian and of these soldiers, and I'm very proud we refused to go into Iraq. I'm proud of our men who are at least trying to help people in Afghan even when placed in a tough situation. I can understand some of your anti-war sentiment, however I must say that the situation in Afghanistan is at least UN sanctioned. At least when our term is up we can go home. Just be glad this isn't Iraq. Either way though, I really would prefer PEACE.

Gotta salute our Canadian allies! You guys are doing great work in a crappy scenario. Hopefully the war will end sooner as opposed to later so these guys can go home for good.

I think its a shame that the Canadian forces do not get more respect on the world stage, they are a briliant fighting force, there are numerous occasions where the US has not fought and the Canadians have, well trained, aggressive brave troops the lot of them, very proffesional fighting force.

How many of these cowards are even fucking aiming? I'm not just talking about the Afghans, the lot of whom seemed to be shooting over their head, at the... sky. The Canadians as well. I saw one fellow firing his weapon around a FUCKING WALL, not even looking. HOW CLOSE WAS HIS TARGET? 200 meters? 400? 40? I bet he didn't know.
A professional soldier would not act so cowardly. I'd expect a NATO infantryman to aim his shots. Suppression is great, but atleast expose your head to draw a bead...

The only countries that are really fighting in afghanisan are the canadians,UK, Austrailia, US, and the dutch! The canadians are an excellent fighting force. It is a shame that the german gov. and to some degree the french and the rest of nato can't put the same type of commitment to winning this war like the canadians, UK, US, Austrailians, Dutch have!
