Senate Minority Leader Reid: "We killed the Patriot Act."

Uploaded by: hiltonhead
Video Description:
In light of the terrorist bombing plot of airliners between Britain and the U.S. that was foiled, with American help using our NSA terrorist monitoring program, it's important in the days before the 2006 Congressional elections to recall how Democrats would handle the war.
Senator Reid brags to cheering Democrats in December 2005 that they "killed the Patriot Act" another of those tools which have been so effective in keeping Americans safe.
The Washington Times has a news story from this period with more background: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20051217-123708-4670r.htm

Traitor. When your guns are taken away and you start telling your children to watch what they say, then think about how willing you were to ditch those "precious civil liberties'. Maybe they'll understand that "Daddy was just very scared and did what he thought was right." You're willing to give up the only thing that makes America different from terrorist regimes for a little imagined safety. Pathetic. Ben Franklin has called you a spineless traitor because he dealt with your kind before.

In the U.S., you are two hundred thousand times more likely to die from heart disease from eating shit food than from being killed in a terrorist attack. Just a lil reality check. Maybe we should check the corporations as well as the government. Oh I forgot. They are together now:) Thanks corporate lobbyists!

ONCE, ONCE, he only got Majority ONCE. Plus I can vote. The 2006 Mid-terms are the latest measure of popular opinion. And The Hosue is the best measure of Population.
And WTF about Kool-Aid?

You can choose to eat healthy. You can choose to take measures to prevent a Jihadist from smuggling bio or radioactive material into this country. Do you understand the consequences of letting our guard down in crowded metropolitan areas, or did you start paying attention after 9/11 disappeared from the headlines? Do me a favor... type "9/11" into the search on Wikipedia, read up, and then start sharing your witicisms on YouTube.

George Bush was elected President twice. Twice. Two terms = two elections. Our country has a process that involves the electoral college in close elections. If you care to fill me in on what "Hosue" means, I'll tell you that "Kool Aid" is a Jim Jones reference that apparently you are not educated about. Please let me know who's rights have been violated as a result of the Patriot Act.
ELECTORAL COLLEGE ... ( 1 year ago by Fanman904)
ELECTORAL COLLEGE DOESN'T MEASURE POPULAR VOTE. and again WTF about "close elections" it involves EVERY election! He only got Majority once and that would have been clear if you actually read my comment. Here let me quote myself since you missed it the first time:
"ONCE, ONCE, he only got Majority ONCE."
Okay, let's see who's rights have been violated:
1. The Hamoui Family, 3 of them.
2. Brandon Mayfield
All Innocent and victims of government mistakes.

What a moronic question?
Whose rights have been violated? Probably yours and probably mine. In America, there is a right to privacy. It typically takes a court order before an investigative agency can listen to phone calls or emails. The patriot act did away with that.
Only problem, they won't tell us who they're listening to...cuz it's secret. Fvcking bvllshit if you ask me.

We don't call it a police state, we prefer to call it the New World Order. You can trust us to watch out for your rights. You don't need a constitution to protect you. Our Justice Dept. will work with our State Dept. to ensure your place in the world is secure.
