It's Gunney Carlos "Hathcock", he was a damn legend in Vietnam, the Viet Cong had a bounty on him for $10,000, he also shot a viet cong sniper at 650 yards right through his scope and through his eye a milisecond before he took his shot, still think the Marine Corps Baret 50 Cal can get the job done, less kick than the Canadian McMillan Tac 50..Nice Vid..Gunney

Whoa...anybody else not wanna shoot that thing after seeing the slo mo of the guy at the beginning almost getting his eye fused with the scope? Not to mention the freakin recoil on that thing...There's not a single means of recoil-reduction! All the power is locked up in that bolt and your shoulder is the only thing behind it. Talk about a sore shoulder after 5 rounds the next day

Umm..I have yet to see one on the M40, M24, or any other bolt action rifle aside from the Tac 50. Only other ones that I have seen with a muzzle break are usually semi auto or of a much higher caliber. So your statement that "almost all of the sniper rifles" really should be reworded :P
that's true.. your ...( 1 month ago by tranceviking)
that's true.. your right in that mostly semi-auto rifles are fited with muzzlebreakers bur it's only needed on them..on bolt action rifles you shot one and one shot with time to reaim..on semi-auto rifles you need to reaim fast and less recoil makes it alot easier.

"american ammo + canadian ammo - and ill take the barret over any other rifle any day" Well, for one different rifles for different objectives. And most large sized ammunition used by Americans is made in Canada. Canadian Forces choose a fast, flat round for accuracy. They obviously were not prepared for tangos over 1800m. As said before its not the rifle or the ammunition, its the soldier behind the rifle. I know that Canadian Snipers have a great training regigment but so do USA
