Uzbeks are not nomads. Go to Ferghana valley and find me a single nomad. It is a heartland of Uzbek nation. We are descendants of Sogdians and Turkic settlers. We are both, Iranic and Turkic. Tajiks in Central Asia have as much Turkic blood as we have Iranic blood. All city population of Central Asia is same ethnicaly. Some speak Turkic, some speak Farsi. But they look, dress, and cook the same. Same traditions and faith. There are nomadic Uzbeks but they have little to do with city Uzbeks.
