opposes the bailout, leaving smaller thing like drug use, and gay marriage up to the states, increase the value of the dollar, long time congressmen, republican agaisnt the war with the middle east, doesnt believe the US shouldnt police the world and spend hundreds of billions of dollars doing so, give the gov. LIMITS to what they can do, former physician turned politician who believes in helping the little guy when it comes to insurance, wont raise taxes, will never have to file income taxes.

First, none of that makes Ron Paul especially different from other politicians.
Second, Ron Paul's plan to replace the IRS with a national sales tax will make you still pay the same amount of money, though it would never pass through congress, making it moot. Third it is IMPOSSIBLE for the president to make the dollar worth more just because he says so. This is an international market, and things self correct. Look at Zimbabwe. They said 1000 = 1 and in a month they were back at 1000.

Yes actually, because they have feasible implementable plans that wouldn't totally bankrupt the country unlike Ron Paul. Not to mention that they don't sound like total loons when directly questioned about something.
Dr. Ron Paul is no better a politician than any shmuck in congress. He gets people riled up sure, but he honestly doesn't have a clue as per what he makes law. Case in point, Ron Paul's belief that the free trade bill was going to lead to a north American country (think EU, but one)

So let me get this right. Ron Paul defends the Constitution,. Atheism is protected by the Constitution as a freedom of expression, so it leaves me to believe one thing... You are a shame to REAL atheists. The Constitution is a neutral contract that only makes references to a "creator", which could be your mother, father, or test tube. Might I add, When did Obama mention ANYTHING about getting rid of the Federal Reserve, the monster that caused all of our financial problems? Obama's in with them and the Council on Foreign Relations. Ever hear of Brzezinsky? or the Trilateral Commission? Educate yourself a little and you'll see that Ron Paul has MORE balls than you! the constitution doses not have anywhere written in the text "separation from church and state" it does say "Congress shall make ""no law"" respecting an establishment of religion, or ""prohibiting"" the free exercise thereof"...
Prohibiting: the act of forbidding
so it clearly states that the gov can not pas any laws to prevent anyone anywhere from there religions practices. what ever practice it may be.

Hate to break it to you, AmazingAtheist, but RP is exactly right on this one. The notion of separation of church and state has been completely misinterpreted. You don't like him because of a tiny segment of his overall beliefs. Your willingness to kick him to the curb over this, shows how narrow your worldview is. And before you start ranting about me being some bible-thumper, I'm an agnostic teetering on the edge of atheism. But I know what the Constitution says and what the Founders meant.

no where in the constitution does it mention a "separation of church and state". so what he says about the founding fathers is true. i am not an atheist but i am certainly not religious. don't hate on ron paul just because he states the facts. it should be up to the states to decide whether or not they pray in school, not the federal government. if you don't like it, move to a state that supports your ideals. (that is, if the states were to regain their independence from the federal government).

the essay was about Ron Paul's understanding that the laws are created a lot on the basis of christian morals. thou shalt not kill (so on). He knows that it is not something the government should spend money on. That essay doesnt mean he thinks people should be forced to pray or that 10 commandments should be hung up. what you are saying is a complete distortion to what you acctually read.
