Robert Cray said that SRV is the best blues guitar player ever, him and Hendrix aretight, and that is something that everybody said (from the 3 Kings, Albert Collins, Lonnie Mack, Buddy Guy, Hooker, Clapton, Jeff Beck...), so as you see that is a fact! Duke is not the best blues player ever! He is good (I won't lie that), but Hendrix and SRV own him, as many others!

Stevie was a better guitar player than Jimmie, by far better.
Tehnically, more inovative, more precise, stronger, more powerful, more popular, better feel and passion, faster, more versatile, had a better tone and sound, was a better singer, had better songs, etc...
Jimmie is just a classic and simple blues guy, but with a horrible sound, tone, voice, tehnique, bending style. Totally sloppy and not interesting at all.
SRV on the other hand was a perfectionist and a master, beyond talented!!!

You are 100% correct, except that Jimmie does not have a "horrible sound, tone, voice, technique, bending style." While he wasn't born with the same talent, nor did he have the technical skills of Stevie, you cannot say that Jimmie was "not interesting at all." Long after Stevie's death, he still plays with names like King, Clapton, Guy, Cray. Would they share the stage with him if he was so bad? I doubt it.
