no, not at all, herati is a unique accent of Farsi only spoken in Herat and some parts of its neighboring provinces in Western Afghanistan.
this kind of accent ... ( 9 months ago by Kamali22)
this kind of accent is also similiar to some farsi accents of Iran, such as classic Mashadi in Khorasan province of Iran, and also Torbati, Zaboli(Sistani) and many other accents of eastern Iran (Khorasan, Sistan wa Balochestan). Mostly villagers of eastern Iran speak like this and they have so many dialects. still some somall differences, but u could for example say that Herati farsi is much more closer to Torbati farsi of Iran, then it is to kabuli or kandahari farsi.
eCricket, if we go ... ( 9 months ago by Kamali22)
eCricket, if we go back to History more then 150 years ago when Herat was part of Iran its true that they had same accent (Khorasani accent) when Iran was in hands of Ghajjar kings. Ghajjar kings were so weak and stupid that they lost Herat and totally hole estern area to the birtions who later with pashtuns created a fabricated land which is Afghanistan(Land of pashtuns). Afghanistan should be Khorasan, Aryana one of the greatest provinces of Iran(Persia) Zameen.
Of course that the ... ( 9 months ago by Kamali22)
Of course that the accents are not same ast they used to be cause of politics and separation. Now eastern big parts of our Khorasan is in hands of the pashtuns of Afghanistan, The turks of Central Asia etc. We still think about our tajik bros and sis in north-east who are isolated and sorrounded by turks. But one thing we have incomment, we speak persian, we have persian cultures, traditions which is very rich.
Zemdebad IRAN ZAMIN ... ( 9 months ago by Kamali22)
Zemdebad IRAN ZAMIN (inluding our big province Khorasan which will be bigger when we re-invade it back). Hell with those who still call eastern Khorasan 4 Afghanistan. I have no problem with the name TaJikistan cause Tajik is synonymus 4 Pars/persian, therefor same like Parsistan. Big credit 4 tajikistanis and their way of thinking, big PLUS that majority of them feel that they are iranic/Aryans and persians and belive on unity in contrast to most afghanistanis I have met
you are absolutely ... ( 9 months ago by shakib2)
you are absolutely right, Torbati and Taybadi accents are other roots of Herati accent and are exactly the same as dialect of Ghurian, Kohsan and Zendajan Districts of Herat which are located on the border with Iran, but despite all these, a local Herati understands kabuli much easilier than Irani accent because of long long historic interactions and location within one country.
Qandak is really ... ( 9 months ago by shakib2)
Qandak is really qand. But guys lets use his name. Nemmattullah Hussainzada.
yes, a herati ... ( 9 months ago by Kamali22)
yes, a herati understands kabuli much easier than irani(tehrani) accent, isfahani, shirazi or whateveter. I agree u with that on this point, but if you include classic mashadi, torbati, zaboli etc you are out and flying, LOL,cause that would be wrong. Herati would be closer to zaboli or torbati than it is to kabuli(Much more closer). belive me , I have iranian friends who are from Torbat, Zabol and Mashad and they told me everything, and i reas as well.
yes, i agree, i was ... ( 9 months ago by shakib2)
yes, i agree, i was shocked when i heard some mashadi people using the same expressions as we heratis do. but i didnt mean that kabuli is close to Herati, i meant only understanding because of frequent interactions and domination of national media.
