He made 22 albums in less than 10 years before his untimely death at the age of 33 in 1979. In Afghanistan everything passed but the voice of Ahmad Zahir remains. Discover a legend and his music!

brings tears to my eyes to watch this video,ahmad zahir lived only one block away from our house, i have lots of great memorys, seeing him almost everday, he was a very friendly and funny guy,one day i went up to ahmad zahir and asked him if he was ahmad zahir, he picked me up kissed me on my cheek and sing a song to me and gived me 50 afghani. good old days will never come again. i hope one day our country become peacful again like it was back then.

Thank you for your kind comments and interest. This was a promo for documentary I hoped to make about Ahmad Zahir. However I don't think it will happen. I hope the legend gets his due someday. Also for those who love to disagree. Don't focus on what separates us but on what brings us together. Our love for our culture and country. Peace.
