What pisses me off the most is, that as you just walk in the midst of all those houses there in the vid, there's ALWAYS the chance of some sniper lurking out waiting for yr squad to pass by and take out just ONE guy. All those years of training, blood, sweat and tears, all that exercise, countless hours of reading manuals and tactics, years of trying to make yourself the perfect soldier, all that gone in an instant because of ONE lucky shot from some1 who isn't even half the soldier you are.

Veitnam wasnt a war, it was a conflict. But it was only called a "conflict" after veitnam. You know why, us americans feel we have the biggest ball in the world. Or in a metaphor, when it actually comes down to it and an event "veitnam" happens in which are true ball size is exposed and we use the i was in the pool excuse. Calling it a conflict is our pool.

Would your dumb ass rather stay there, kill them all the way to gates of hell for a hundred years and get thousands of u.s. citizens turned soldiers killed....OR....Would you understand the meaning of life and not taking unless it's a last resort and rethink why we're in the middle east in the first place. Seeing as I was deployed there for the intitial invasion of Iraq and the subsequent redeployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom, in a line company no less, and in case you are unaware, that's infantry, I think I have a pretty solid understanding of what I'm talking about.

I've never asked this before, but always wondered. How do you prefer people talk about...military things? having been there I mean, how do you consider a respectable level of...understanding, versus the alternative? Because I've never been in the military, but I talk about it often, and sometimes wonder if I'm insultive by accident or condescending without that conscience intention.
