How it feels to have a stroke
Uploaded by: TEDtalksDirector
Video Description:
http://www.ted.com Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

Before she died, she tried to speak to me, but I wasnt able to understand her. This was the last time she tried to communicate with me before she died three days later. After listening to Jill Bolte Taylor, theres no doubt my beautiful late wife experienced Nirvana - I saw it in her eyes.
we are all one
There are none so blind at those who will not see.....
My only beef is, how can she connect all the sensations of her stroke to physical processes of neurons, but her 'awakening' or attainment of nirvana is somehow related to the 'soul'? Difference in opinion though; very humbling video.
seriously
The spiritual context is, however, a matter of interpretation. And who knows!? Maybe she's right.
It is in any case food for thought.
And the experience of togetherness and 'one-ness' is often spoken of, written about, by poets and artist. Furthermore, a feeling that perhaps we've all possibly experienced at some point in our lives.
Wouldn't it be nice if what it alludes to was so???... hm....
