uh it's not even that good people. I've seen better...the belly dancers that were on Regis and Kelly were wayy better, put on a tight azz show and had more variation. This girl is plain boring, lacks movement and momentum.

Yeah. I'm a western girl, but I can tell the correct way from the incorrect way, and this women is awesome! I know what you mean by the western women doing all the belly rolls like a robot. lol Sometimes girls will do it the correct and traditional way, but the only problem is is that they dont have the rythem and the creativity, or charisma, but this dancer has it all!

I have serious doubts that the dancers on Regis and Kathy were anything like this b/c they were probably American style. Americans have their way, Lebanese have theirs, Turkish, Egyptian, Moroccan, they are all different styles. Ok to like one more, but this is good & probably just a little snippit of a much longer show so you can't really say what kind of variation she has. In authentic Belly Dance you don't let everything out in one song. She moves with the music. that is more important.

I love belly dance, but sometimes, I kinda think that belly dancing is comparable to modern strip tease... Today we have strippers dancing to pop music and then they had belly dancers. I wonder how taboo it was when it was first introduced.

She's excellent! Anyone with any real belly dance knowledge and an open mind can see and appreciate it.
Belly dance is rooted in harems, therefore an exotic dance, however, Mideast culture is more like Latin culture (or is it Latins are like Mideast? :) and display more sexuality when they dance.
Many Anglo Americans and Europeans north of France cannot relate to this or disapprove - perhaps based on their puritanical roots.
