even tho I don't like this movie because the first 1/3 of it historicly incorect but the last 25 min of that movie is ok
P.S some people send me PM and asking me about what so incorect about it.
The way those soldiers act in the first 1/2 of the movie is not the way people and young guys acted back then. I know lots of people and my father knows lots of people who was there. becase my father is a ex-special force and he traind those guys.

USSR had the power in that time, just like USA has it now. Afghanistan is in the middle of Asia, having mountains, and wanted to settle and probably rule over Asia.
Russia took over many countries,,, took over some in couple of hours, and some in days,, but fought with afghans for 3 damn years... and still got defeated,,, lol ....
