But the real practical change(ie.reform) has to come from those people themselves. They need to be educated and informed so that they understand their mistakes. Change-*genuine* change- must be thorough, organised and well planned. There needs to be a movement in these countries to educate the masses and to lay the foundations for a more logical, rational and basically an *Islamic* outlook rather than the closeminded nonsense they follow now.
Hopefully change is not too far for these people.

Child marriages and wife beating are allowed in Islam. Muslims will do nothing about domestic violence, in fact publicizing such incidents about violence on women will be counter productive. Muslims will take extra precautions and do it covertly.

Those poor muslim women should flee to better countries with a better justice system.
They can come to my country anytime we have plenty of shelters and refuges and muslim men have no power here, if a muslim man beat up a women in my country he would have alot of angry men and women demanding justice and the risk of him getting beaten up by other men.

It's too bad that this happens in other countries. It would never go with out justice in the States. I disagree with any comments regarding to Islam being a hateful religion. I also think that there are a lot of religions that have hypocrisy of beliefs.
