The angry man in the video was traced by Capital FM radio and they interviewed him. He was apparently working night-shift and got fed up with calls from telemarketers so asked BT to make his phone ex-directory. Two weeks later, BT made this call to him.

Come on you guys, Read my second post I was being satirical. Of course their job is to sell the company product, not to annoy people. But they must know how it feels to receive those phone calls. People don't like that. So if you are doing a job, knowing how annoying it is for the customers, INDIRECTLY their job is to annoy the customers :P So yeah, they are just doing their job right.

lol.. This conversation is getting absurd. Probably my bad. Thing is I can't understand why would anyone choose this job. Indirectly or not, not sure. But they must know how annoying it is to receive those calls. They're persons too I'm sure they got them as well. So for someone choosing a job KNOWING that it really annoys the hell out of customers, well.. Money must be really good because I can't think of another good reason. Anyways, I just hang up the phone, but can't blame the guy at all :P

what is it with you answering like that all the time? we're on the same side here. I'm a freelancer looking for a steady job, but I'd rather die before going for telemarketing. Its an awfull job. you KNOW people will hate when you call them. Can't be good for your health either(both sides) And I say Pride over Money. Yes,they might like that job if they go for it. damn you're annoying.. I understand the necesity, but there is ALWAYS another options. I couldn't sleep at night because of the guilt I'd feel knowing how the customers react when I call them. It wouldn't be healthy to them, it wouldn't be healthy to me either. Is one of the few jobs (Maybe the only one) that I don't respect.
