Why has there always been such a spotlight on Jewish suffering for so long? Plenty of other cultures and nationalities were brutalized just as badly if not worse than the Jews. When did they become the sole focal point for all sympathy and apologies? What about the Poles or the Russians? They got rocked just as hard. This aire of entitlement needs to stop.

Even Micah said the purpose of religion was ETHICS and MORALITY. Spiritualism and mysticism does not even enter Hebrew religion until they were influenced by the pessimism and fatalism of the Chaldeans and the zoroastrianism of the Persians (which later also influence Christianity and Islam).

It's just the fact of the Jewish people were not hurt at one time but over most of the course of their existence. While most of the people have experienced times of peace - while the Jewish people have become quite a harsh existence since their religion was formed. Slavery, wide-spread persecution over centuries and centuries, the Holocaust, and even these days within and over modern Jerusalem. That's my theory anyway, and in truth their is lots of spotlights on the suffering of others. ^^

The tragic result of BLIND TRUST/FAITH in a very CENTRALIZED and INSTITUTIONALIZED government. Seems to parallel that of some other things that are institutionalized, centralized, and comprise of thousands of unquestioning followers (it's more likely to be millions, but I haven't done a survey on millions of people).
