He's ok, but there's no reason to cry. When you think of all the other great opera singers, he's actually pretty rubbish.

I'm really not all that impressed by him. He is good for the average person, however has some severe vibrato control issues and doesn't have the voice for this piece. Plus he missed the big note. The audience just doesn't know the difference between him and a great singer.

jameghiskhan2005, lets see you do better under the circumstances. Read his bio in wikipedia. Paul hadn't taken voice lessons or sung in public the four years prior to BGT.
Since then:
1. He recorded an album one week after winning BGT.
2. One Chance has sold over 4 million copies, went to #1 in 14 countries, and earn numerous platinum awards.
3. Paul has just completed a very successful 97 concert, 87 city world tour before 267,899 appreciative fans.
BTW, Paul knew he blew the money note.
