Hey, I understand your disappointment but here are a few points that will make you happy.
First the beta was stripped from all of its content and other spaces because they are doing the final stress loads testing, everything and more will be back for the open beta. Also, if you look at it how it is (an application) instead of what it isn't (a game) it may become more enticing to you.
