The more important element is the weight of the aircraft.
That is why airplanes jetison fuel if they have to turn around and land after takeoff.
It's also the reason the pilot takes on a specified amount of fuel at each stop. They want to land the aircraft as light as possible to save wear and tear.
This test simulates a jet fully laden with fuel that has to make a stop on the runway.
