It's the United States Special Operations Command.
It's a broad word pal, the SEALs do operate alone on missions.
They are a Maritime Special Operations Force.
The Air Force Para Jumpers hence PJ operate alone because their task is to rescue downed airman.
Delta Force is for Counter Terrorism missions along with DEVGRU.
Green Berets are Special Forces not Special Operations. The Special Ops branch of the Army are a group of Airbourne and Rangers.

Well I happen to have family members who are SEALs and Green Berets.
In Vietnam, no US Navy SEALs died or were captured, because they are extremely adaptable and intelligent.
And if you think SEALs go in with Hi-Tech gear, they don't. They depend upon each other and their knowledge of the Amazonian Rain Forest.
