I hope they understood why the first one was fun, and that it's not too graphics intesive so that you can't run it.
The graphics in the first one were actually quite bad but it was the size of the game that was important, visually.

then again it doesn't look much more graphically intense than far cry 2... which surprised me at how well it ran on my year old system. I hope they spend alot of time on the AI, that's what made this series really stand out; the feeling that you're being hunted by packs of hardass soldiers rather than dodging brainless and predictable scripts

don't ever compare a PS3 to a High end PC!!
they are not at the same level...its just blatant ignorance to think a PS3, launched in 2006, can compete with gaming rigs developed in 2008...the graphics card found in most gaming PC's alone devours that of the PS3.
and i am not a PC whore either, i own a PS3...

sure KZ2 looks immense, but Killzone 2 could be done on the PC and look even better!
simply becasue the PC version of KZ2 would pack higher-resolution textures and make use of more powerful shader technology and maybe even Directx 10?
the PS3 has 6 cores available to devs, that is very powerful, however the GPU of the PS3 is outdated when compared to PC high-end GPU's out now. also gaming PC's have quite a large number of even faster, more powerful cores.

If this game was moddable like that last game and most likely have such a large and talented community then trust me. Someone will create a downloadable map or mod set in Afhganistan. The Original had hundreds, a number were actually detailed in terms of locations for Afhganistan.

Extremely impressive. Looks worlds better than ARMA 2 from a graphics standpoint.
