Warrior Soul was definitely different from a lot of the bands around that time. Kory Clarke's lyrics actually meant something...and there still relevant some 15 years later.
Unfortunately, I think the years of screaming have caught up with him. I just saw him fronting the band Trouble in July 2008, and his voice was very hoarse and off-key. He's supposed to be bringing Warrior Soul back to the states though...

It's so true! Look at the political themed stuff by Queensryche; it makes total sense for Warrior Soul to be there. If you're a poseur and you only dig Silent Lucidity, or Jet City Woman, no kidding you're going to boo. Queensryche has serious fans, but even now there are still some poseurs clinging to nostalgia days when they were younger poseurs I guess. Geoff Tate's politics and Kory's is pretty much the same cautionary outrage.
