lanat hazaar baar ba attan..why the hell people call the pashtoons shadibaazi our national dance? damn it why are people so ill-informed? why dont they try to understand that "attan" is only pashtoons dance (more of a shaadibazi). why dont people know what NATIONAL mean? you can call it national when it belongs to the whole people of the country.so attan only belongs to pashtoons so it can never ever be afghanistans national dance.if you like attan sure do it but dont call it our national dance.

THE ATTAN DATES BACK TO THE TIMES OF ZARDASHT!
Attan is derived from zardasht traditional twirling and incorporated into our country as a national dance and influenced the sufi dervishes of Rumi. So Attan belongs to all tribes, all aryans all afghan people. It is our identity. Go do your research and see for yourself. Where do u think the Rumi twirling came from? Why do u think Iranian, Tajik, have similar twirling dances??
