Here in the US, we have private toilets in every hotel room, as opposed to 2 floors sharing some old "pull the chain to flush" "pipes on the outside of the building" wreck you have.
Yes the Brist got tech going with the Industrial Revolution, but in the last 50 yrears, everything new has come from the US.

Erm... lol? You are just saying things here. All those big inventions where stolen in WW2. There is a reason, why the US and Russia raced for Berlin. ;) All those inventions where made and first produced here and only in Germany. The bullshit about all "new" things in the last 50 years came from the US is just horribly wrong. If going by "people per patent", the US is far behind the EU. That is a prooven fact.

Saying that the A380 is using US technology is just wrong. What US tech it is using? The jets? Developed and first built in series in WW2 in germany. The plane itself? First flying man in human history was Otto Lilienthal. The electronics? First modern computer built by Conrad Zuse... German! Fly-by-Wire? Invented and first built by Aérospatiale & British Aircraft Corporation in the Concorde (now used in any modern airliner)... Any more US technology?

We still compete. Just look at the cars from germany (and europe). Their technical standard is much higher compared to the US. That is why you can't export your cars anymore. US cars only drive in the US. Over here you see a US car once in a month.

well apart from those tv shows, ive lived in san diego for 3 months, been to new york, boston, florida twice,new england twice, washington, vegas, and short stays in a few other places and im only 21. So I may be generalising a little bit, but ive met alot of americans. where might i ask did you go when you stayed in said euro hotel. I think you may be confusing a hostel with a hotel. Hostels are the ones with on1 toilet cos they are cheap stays for backpackers who dont care
