Yes you are right. The landing gear IS NOT made by Airbus.
And for all those people saying they only want to fly Boeing and not Airbus because of this video type in "Crazy Boeing 737 Crash Landing" and watch.
You will notice not only Airbus have the odd landing gear problem.
the description of ... ( 2 weeks ago by simpsonstewie)
the description of that one says that the gear was torn off when they attempted to land at a different aiport with bad weather. KNOW YOUR SOURCES!!! i do debates on latin america and i know how to find "shit" about anything.

Oh my bad. But I stand by my comment that all of you saying you will not fly Airbus because of this video are morons.
I could make a video about two 737's whos rudder controls failed in flight because of bad design and sent the planes hurtling to the ground killing all on board.
I could say I am never flying on a 747 in case the cargo door opens itself at 20,000 feet and I get sucked out to my death again due to bad design.
Boeing are NOT safer than Airbus.
the rudder controls ... ( 2 weeks ago by simpsonstewie)
the rudder controls were not made by boeing, but a company in california
the 747 cargo door fell off because at the time it was a fairly new device. its been 20 yrs i don't see anything
airbus was only started only to continue europes aviation history and not to compete with boeing. but now they do.
i think i would only go in a330
but all of boeing planes

Why only the A330?
So lets say, if you had the choice of going on holiday flying first class in a Singapore Airlines A380 you would not go?
Why is this video ... ( 2 weeks ago by willyboi708)
Why is this video called Dangerous Airbus? Airbus's reputation is impecable! Just because of a problem with the nose gear on this particular plane?. I worked as Translator with a company for Airbus and went through some intense techs and specs. I also saw how these planes come together and are built. They are very impressive. Airbus uses new technology that even Boeing consults them on. I have flown on every type of Airbus aircraft except 380, and have yet to feel as though I am in danger!
no, id rather go on ... ( 2 weeks ago by simpsonstewie)
no, id rather go on a trusty 777 with the same exact suites.
plus, less lines for checkin, boarding, and deboarding.
and yes ive been on singapore countless times to korea, singapore, parts of india, and austrailia. the 777s are much to comfortable.
death to 747
i don't trust a380 nor the 787 just yet.

Now, I don't want to say that either boeing or aribus is better, but I think u have more controll over a boeing because it has a proper yoke. The airbusses only have a tiny joystick, witch by the way, can be quite hard to use with the left hand... .

why only the a330? type in 'air transat 236'. that was an a330. it was lucky no-one died

This incident was ... ( 2 weeks ago by tommyA350)
This incident was caused by bad maintainence. The plane ran out of fuel because Air Transat engineers fitted the wrong part to the A330's engines which caused a fuel leak.
This incident had NOTHING to do with the A330 being "faulty".

"i don't trust a380 nor the 787 just yet." - any factual reasons for that? I was thinking the same thing, but only because they are just too young.

I spent my life ... ( 1 day ago by tuutuutango)
I spent my life growing up around airports and my father (in a Sabreliner) had to make a left-main gear up landing in Houston. I even saw a Cessna 421 make a gear up landing at my airport, but I've never seen one where the nose gear is 90 degrees to where it is supposed to be. When I saw this live on CNN it was and continues to be, a testament to the highly trained and great pilots who fly these big jets. Kind of reminds me of "Cool Hand Luke."
