As long as the federal government's fleecing of america via income taxes continues and they sell it to the people as a source for social welfare programs, of course the majority of america will back up your claim - until our country is bankrupt and power continues to centralize into a dictatorship. That's exactly what's happening now. Decentralize political power and the economy; only then will we be free citizens again.

You do realize that he is running on the same platform as thomas jefferson. You know guy who wrote Declaration of Independence. 3rd President. First republican. Guy who beleives that government will take whatever power we give it and then use that power to take even more. Ron Paul is our founders reincarnated and he is what america needs.

Revolutions ARE long term projects. I'm going to vote for Obama because I desperately want to end this war and get my god damned civil rights back at least. We won't be able to abolish the federal reserve until we've back tracked a veeeery long time. I've sent the Obama campaign about 15 emails telling him to open up discussions with Ron Paul, I believe Obama wants what's good, and I think he'll listen to Ron Paul if we annoy him enough. I don't even recognize the republican party anymore.

I see your point but I would like to remind you that obama voted FOR the "patriot" act and the financial bailout, as did John McCain. When it comes to the fundamentals, I really don't see much of a beneficial difference between the two.

Civil rights like gay rights, the decriminalization of marijuana. This is America. I'm a straight christian that doesn't smoke weed and is opposed to the war in Iraq. But like I said, this is America. Obama literally isn't even a compromise for me, I'm with him on everything.

If you like what Ron Paul has to say then you should believe him when he says that Obama will not get us out of Iraq. He points out that we're building an embassy in Iraq that is bigger then the Vatican. Why would we do that if we were going to leave? Whether Obama or McCain wins, we're staying in Iraq.
