To be honest, I don't know how. I have the entire episode on DVD which is a VOB file and I don't have a clue as to how to either cut it to just get that song, or transcode it to an AVI file.
If anyone knows how, maybe they can either tell me, or i could send them just that show? They could do whatever needs to be done to get Ritchie, and Sally singing!

That would be so awesome if you could find someone to help you do this! I would be so grateful!
This episode (specifically "Little Drummer Boy") has very special meaning to me.
Please let me know if you get lucky!

Obviously you need to go back to school to learn how to write English--look at your misspellings. Not only that, your mixing past and present tenses. Really, man, you may be young, but that's no excuse for stupidity. I had a great vocabulary and pretty much perfect command of the English language by the time I was 12 years old.

Based on how you write, I can't help but think you are of other than non-white, perhaps non-English-speaking background. But if I'm incorrect in these assumptions, then you've been playing too many video games, listening to too much hip-hop and hanging around with your social inferiors too long, trying to emulate their culture (a contradiction of terms if ever there was one), either out of fear or to impress them, instead of attending to your studies, what is often called "The Wigger Syndrome."
Rather than ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
Rather than lowering yourself to their level, why not try elevating them and yourself to a better level? It's never cool to appear unintelligent, and also not always correct to associate articulateness and intelligence with homosexuality or nerdiness. It is possible to be simultaneously a hipster, jock and an intellectual.
I am amazed at how ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
I am amazed at how many kids and young adults today, who are so enamored of being thought of as "unique," "alternative," "rebellious" even, are all such conformists, obsessed with wearing the same Tommy Hilfiger jeans, the same Abercrombie & Fitch or Old Navy shirts, and Nike sneakers. How can one be different if you're all exact copycats of each other?
When I was a ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
When I was a teenager, the last thing we wanted to be seen wearing were designer or brand-named clothes. That was a sign of being square and a stuck-up snob, to be seen in clothes with tags like "Calvin Klein," "Guess," "Gucci." Now it seems to be almost a status symbol to wear these kinds of clothing, the labels very visibly showing.
Instead of "My ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
Instead of "My Space," it would more appropriately be called "Our Space." These generations of kids raised by "Mister Rogers" to think of themselves as so "special" are really not very special at all, just a bunch of conformist robots, almost umbilically linked to their cellphones and iPods!

Do yourself a favor--save in a file or on a disc, or print out your comments here (and my replies to them), with all their misspellings and bad grammar. Then go out and get yourself an education. You don't need to go to college (although that would be fine), just need a library card and read. But if you have trouble in that area, then get yourself an English tutor, available free at any good public school or even in many continuing education programs.

Put your comments from this You Tube page (however you've saved them) in a safe place where you'll always know to find them, but then don't look at them for, say, ten years.
Try to stay healthy, not get yourself killed, and then come back and read these comments you've posted here after those ten years have passed--so September 16, 2018.
I think you'll be amazed at how foolish you looked here versus what you now know if you're reading these comments ten years hence.
Actually, even ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
Actually, even persons who typically write well may still make mistakes, typos, etc.
And I've just caught myself having made one here. What I should have typed was "I can't help but think you are other than white, etc.," OR "I can't help but think you are of a non-white, etc." But I've blended them in the same phrase. My apologies for this go out to the linguistically offended.
I. of course, ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
I. of course, expect the usual influx of "fan mail" for some of my presumably "controversial" comments here. But I actually am trying to be constructive with this young person here, since we began a dialogue over the word "gay" as used in this "Dick Van Dyke Show" Christmas episode video.
I know it veered a bit off-topic, but it is still related to something in the video which prompted this discourse about language, proper & improper usage, etc.
Who'd have "thunk" ... ( 2 months ago by gymnastix)
Who'd have "thunk" an innocuous Christmas video would inspire such a discourse?
But then, that's how these mini-soapboxes seem to flow here on You Tube.
I truly do try to never write anything that isn't at least mostly inspired by the wish to be constructive, corrective and/or informative. And occasionally venom, preconceived notions and off-color humor may spill out of my keyboard and onto these web pages. But we all have the equal ability here to make asses of ourselves--isn't that special?
