and yeah, listen to the lyrics, some benzo`s are prescribed to people with bipolar schizophrenia and cyclothymia disorders to control the mood-swings, but it tends to dull most emotional receptors a make you more of a zombie than a human, the lyrics show this is what it's talking about.
although, remember that Steven Wilson is loose on terms of lyrical interpretation, so there isn't much chance that this song has a fixed, adamant meaning.
