French aircraft have an excellent combat record. The Israeli's used the Mystere(sic) and the Mirage to decimate the Egyptian, Syrian and Jordanian airforces. The Israelies liked the Mirage so much they stole the plans and built their own version.

If anyone on this board knows. If the Rafale is not around to help, can a Super Etendard hold its own in air to air combat? I know it drops bombs, strikes ships with exocets, and is the Nuclear ASPM missile carrier, but if it had to, could it defend itself well?
