Yes He is right. Valy is Iranian. He was born i Iran. And he has never been to Afghanistan. So even if your parent was afghan you are not afghan. Of coarse you are welcome to be, but the Iranians are right. And the way he sings is Iranian style, And we afghan want the credit for it. Lets rather stand behind ower afghan musicians. If there are anyone good. Amir Jan Saboori is great. And Habib Qaderi is a shame.

He is pure Afghan; there is no doubt about that. coz under the Iranian legislation no Afghan can obtain an Iranian citizenship. In his case his parents fled their home country (Afghanistan) during the communist invasion to Iran. They stayed there for a while as illegal immigrants. So how come he is an Iranian? There is one exception in the case of Khudadad Azizi, as a professional footballer he did obtain an Iranian citizenship to play for the Iran National Team.

Khudad Azizi is an Afghan too and dont even say that he is Iranian!! An Iranian ?? Proud to be an Afghan and we will always be. So come on Afghanistan.

ahahah!Valy was born in Iran,so he is iranian?ahhahah...nice joke...so why the iranian govt doesnt give the citizenship to those, who were born in Iran...(atleat 100,000 afghan.) Instead, they deport them to Afg and put them in jail...Serveral times, Valy said my country, Afghanistan in his interviews. But still if my iranian friends feel good that Valy is iranian...I let them think...Because Valy doesnt think that way, which is mor important to me and my people!!!
